Cretan wine, goes New York, in the 21st of June
Crete, the largest Greek island, has one of the richest cultures of wine in the world. It is also home to the oldest wine-press ever discovered, further evidence that the winemaking tradition runs deep in this fabled island that has had a profound influence on western culture.
Join us to sample wines from nearly 20 Cretan wineries representing all the major winemarking regions from throughout the island. Crete’s diverse range of terroirs, its numerous indigenous varieties, together with a new generation of Cretan winemakers, have created the foundation for the island’s revival as the next Greek region to emerge on the international wine scene.
