Lyrarakis Symbolo
In the winemaking history of Crete, there is a Symbol, ideogram 131, which signifies the concept of wine in two ancient scripts: Linear B and Cretan Hieroglyphic.
The wine SYMBOLO was first released in the great 2005 vintage, marking an important milestone in the history of Lyrarakis estate.
Respecting our commitment to release this wine only in the great vintages that achieve excellence, we had to wait until the vintage of 2008, when a small quantity of grapes convinced us that a new SYMBOLO was born.
Harmoniously and naturally ripened grapes of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot macerated gently and stayed for 24 months in oak casks.
In the Spring of 2011 we bottled 7350 bottles of 750ml and 82 magnums.
You can safely age this bottle for a long time.
